Membership... Come join the HIGH Family Association! If you are a High, or a descendant of the High family of Thomas High of Virginia, or if you think you might be and want to find out for sure, you need to join the High Family Association! Dues are only $25 per year. As a member you will receive the High Family Journal that is published twice each year in January and July. Plus, you will receive a free binder to store your Journals complete with a full color copy of our Arms on the front. New members also receive a copy of the American College of Heraldry Arms Registration Document with a beautiful, full color copy of our Arms. This beautiful document, suitable for framing, makes a great wall hanging. The Journal allows free queries and keeps you up on the latest research on the High genealogy. Plus, there are other goodies to come! The High Family Association has two books available on the family. The first is High Family Notes by Grace Lawrence of Alabama and there is a form on this web site that allows you to mail your order for that book directly to Grace. That book, published in 1999, has over 14,000 descendant of Thomas High of England and Virginia detailed in its over 760 pages. Thomas High came to Virginia from England in 1660. Through more than two decades of research we now generally know all of the branches of the family tree regardless of where you might now live. We maintain a computerized database of all Highs who send us their line, and it is generally possible to connect you to the main family tree. If you are researching your branch of the family, but do not yet have enough information to connect to the family tree, we keep your material and notify you when we learn enough to make the connection.
